Playful, handmade ceramics that embrace the imperfect

Seconds Ceramics is a small, two-person studio making joyful, slightly wonky pieces by hand. What started as a pottery class in November 2024 turned into an ongoing excuse to keep creating together.

We make ceramics in our free time, which means things stay experimental, relaxed, and a little unpredictable. One of our teachers used to say, “it will look handmade because it IS handmade.” That stuck with us. No two pieces are exactly the same and that’s kind of the point!

Seconds Ceramics is named after the tradition of selling “seconds” in pottery, pieces that are slightly imperfect and often sold at a discount. We loved the idea of building something around that spirit from the start.
